Legendary Fyre Records was founded in 2021 by artist and entrepreneur Lilpoetiq (Eric Marshall) with one mission in mind: to give independent artists a professional home without relying on a major label. What started as a young artist refusing to settle for “SoundCloud rapper” or “DistroKid only” energy quickly evolved into a full operation built on quality, control, and creativity.
The label’s early foundation began with Style One, the first official artist signed outside of Lilpoetiq himself. The two built momentum fast—dropping song after song—until it became clear they needed a real team and real structure to grow. Even at 14, Eric demanded major-label standards: instant releases, fast turnarounds, Apple Music lyrics when the feature was brand-new, and full independence over every rollout.
The name Legendary Fyre Records was created by Eric’s father, pOETiqbEETz, who also contributed to some of the label’s earliest releases. Before the label formally existed, Lilpoetiq had already begun releasing instrumentals at just 12 years old using platforms like Amuse—planting the seeds of what would become LFR.
By 2023, the roster began expanding. Artists like Gp3asy, Slykstah, and others collaborated heavily with LFR, helping shape the sound and culture. Tracks like Out The Gate, Slapalishious, and 333 AM in Oakland showed the world what the team was capable of.
In 2024, the label faced a major setback when 3ToneMusic abruptly shut down due to internal issues, causing every LFR release to be removed from platforms. Artists weren’t paid, codes were lost, and months of rollout plans were wiped out. Instead of folding, the team regrouped, rebuilt, and tightened the structure from the ground up.
By early 2025, Legendary Fyre Records relaunched stronger than ever—securing partnerships with EMPIRE and The Orchard, giving the label fast, reliable distribution and long-term stability. This new chapter allowed LFR to sign and support a growing roster including Od Sleep, Lilpoetiq, 555wick, Sariya, Picasso, Yungtd216, Paris Monroh, pOETiqbEETz, etc.
Since the rebirth of the label, LFR has officially surpassed 1 million total streams, with over 600,000 streams in 2025 alone. With the new partnerships, expanded team, and renewed focus, Legendary Fyre Records continues to push out high-quality releases and elevate artists with a fully professional, major-level approach—while still staying true to its independent roots.
